Hello and welcome to my world of colour and vibrancy!

 

My name is Tania, and I'm the creative mind behind Maybe James. I started making jewellery while I was on maternity leave with my daughter, who was a particularly difficult sleeper. During those long hours in a dark room, I turned to my love of colours and began designing jewellery in my mind. Eventually, I began sourcing all sorts of glitter and mica powder combinations and making jewellery during my free time, which wasn’t often.

Motherhood changed me fundamentally, and I found myself struggling with the ‘mundane’ tasks of motherhood and the lack of task completion and feedback.

Making jewellery became my creative outlet and a way for me to reconnect with myself and my own passions. I am drawn to colour, the way certain colours can evoke a reaction in you, and the creative freedom that comes with it, often choosing colours as the first step in creating at item.

My passion for colour and creative freedom is evident in my designs - I believe that jewellery can have a powerful emotional impact, and I strive to create pieces that evoke feelings of joy, confidence, and playfulness. We all have such busy lives, it's so nice to take those moments and put on a piece of jewellery and have the tones you choose to wear represent who you are in that moment.
